Page 149! And it’s pretty late. So the story behind this is that firstly, when I started working on this, I realized there was no way I could get what I really wanted onto one page. But I didn’t want to just start all over again either and/or redraw the whole thing. So, I put this on two pages. I know, a lot of web cartoonists do this, but I tend not to. I gave it a try this time, and helped contribute to why this is late. Also I could not get the watermark to look right…
Anyway, so yeah, this happened! Somehow my joke was lost, even though I thought it was…pretty obvious!
Hooray for updates! My comic, Incongruous Gears, has been!
Page 136, and on time, too! So this is Castleville that she’s playing here; I originally intended to mention that on the page somewhere, but then I guess I just forgot. There are people that would know anyway. Also incidentally, you evidently don’t really actually have an avatar or anything in the game, but I just also thought it helped set the scene I was trying to create for playing a game. Don’t…take it too literally!
So yeah, this also stemmed from a real conversation, and is pretty much verbatim (even the final panel!). So…why would anyone…prostitute out their cows? Well, remember Funky Barn on the Wii U, which I also referenced in another comic? Yeah, there’s somethin’ goin’ on in that Funky Barn….
So yeah, I..don’t know.
Page 133, and it’s on time! This is just another quick one, and…commemorating Winter…Ugh…Actually, there were a lot of good days last week, in which it got a lot warmer! It was nice. But yeah, it’s been a fairly bad Winter otherwise, and you need to be careful out there, with ice.
This is, of course, also a reference to the Ice Climbers!
Comic updated! Last week was busy and I didn’t get to updating, unfortunately…This should be a normal week though with two updates. So here goes the first!
Page 126! So yeah, I ran behind last week and didn’t get any updates done….This week I’ll be back on track anyway!
So yeah, this happened. I was not expecting the little plushie ball to make any noise suddenly.
Also, color! :O Well, kind of. I decided to at least use gray tones to do something different. I decided not to leave it in just pencils this time. I’m fairly happy with it.
It’s new and it’s brief; it’s the new update!
Hey, Page 118! And I…meant to post this last week! And somehow didn’t! Sigh….Anyway, this could be misinterpreted as me expressing a dislike for the PS4, Sony, etc.Honestly, I can’t afford new game consoles to begin with, so…..I will admit I don’t have a huge interest in the PS4 right now though. I don’t know. I haven’t been following news on it. I guess part of the point of this is that I don’t seem to have time to care and it just didn’t feel like a huge event or anything to me when it was released. Granted, I know as of this writing, it’s sold over a million already. But for me personally, it wasn’t that big of a deal. I accept the fact that I just can’t keep up with games anymore; I can’t afford them, and have other things I need to do. I’m not abandoning them; I’ll get to them when I can. I just do anything with them for the most part right now. Hopefully that changes in the near future.
Is Hell freezing over?? Another update on time this week! :O
Page 117! Just another quick one. This is far from the best one I’ve ever done, I know…I also didn’t quite adjust it right during the digital editing process. I know.
Anyway, I thought this graffiti was amusing, for sure!
Page 115! I had particular fun drawing Link here….hee hee hee…Anyway, so for any not in the know, although you might get the idea from this anyway, ‘blind figurines’ are little toys that come in capsules or boxes, and the draw being you don’t know which one you’re going to get; hence, ‘blind’. Compare this to a pack of trading cards; you have no idea what cards you’re getting until you open it. Toys like this are popular in Japan, and some companies here in the U.S. release similar kinds. I found it particularly nice that there’s any kind of collectible from The Legend of Zelda; overseas anyway, Nintendo doesn’t make a whole ton of merchandise from their game series, apart from t-shirts. I’ve seen some expensive statues based on Zelda and Metroid, but….
Anyway, so yeah, what are the odds I got 3 of the exact same figurine. I don’t know if there are actual calculable odds or not; some figurines like this do give you, on the box, the odds of getting all the figurines in the set. Not this series, so I really don’t know. Aw well…
And yes, I know, I spelled ‘capsule’ wrong. ;P
Finally got my update….up. ;P I just barely didn’t get it done in time for Thursday, and didn’t really have time to finish and post it til now…I hope I can get a regular one up for Tuesday…. D:
And coming in at 99, is….page 99. :P And it’s late. I had it mostly done for Thursday, but wasn’t able to really finish and post it til now. We’ll see how it goes for Tuesday.
So yes, Microsoft got a lot of flack and hatred thrown at them because of policies regarding the XBox One; like always needing to be online. Even to play one-player games that aren’t online. They also insisted that when the servers for this not-yet-released console are shut down, you’ll be able to play all your regular games. Even though you can’t when the console is available. So yeah…things like that made no sense and made fans very, very angry. Realizing perhaps that they do want money and have competitors, MS reversed these decisions for the system. Evidently they weren’t that important, if they felt they could reverse these features just like that. Again, it doesn’t really make much sense.
It is a testament to making formal and public complaints and drawing attention to things like this; it is possible to make a difference when you complain!
Page 96! I know, this is a week late. I did start working on this last week, but as usual, things happened. I also had trouble deciding where to go with this exactly. In the end, I decided to stop wasting time when I could get back to finishing it.
I am pretty creeped out at my own Bill Gates. ;P Also, this is a reference to the extremely arrogant comments Gates is known to make about his company, and that he also made about their game systems. I particularly remember comments he made regarding the 360 and some of its games. So no, I would not be surprised if Gates does ever say this.
Evidently the real reason for the name is because MS wants to make the console an ‘all-in-one’ unit for games, TV, etc. This is the same kind of thing Sony’s been trying to do for years and what they particularly wanted the PS3 to be. Eh, it really just doesn’t work as these companies demand. People do want games on their game consoles. The lack of games presented at MS’s reveal event did leave supporters unimpressed.
Page 94! Another quick one, and one I couldnt resist. Alas, David Hayter was not asked to play Big Boss in the upcoming new Metal Gear Solid game (or…games? At this time, we’re still not sure how it works)…So. He may not be playing him or Snake again. But in comments Hayter made, he seems to accept it, and he had a good run. I’ll miss him, too.
Another update is up!
